As one of my best friends and an epic tour guide, AJ (second from the left) took us to the top of the Trump Tower for a beer, Portillos for quintessential Chicago noms, Chicago Bagel Authority for probably the best bagel ever (over 80 bagel sandwiches on their menu!), Farmhouse for our special dinner out and of course a walk around Bucktown/Wicker Park... my dream neighborhood. Chicago, I love you and I will return (when it's a bit warmer).

Chicago is definitely a city I've ALWAYS wanted to visit, but I don't think I could handle it during the winter. Maybe a trip is necessary in the spring!

I'm from Chicago and portillos is a definite favorite of me and my boyfriend :) I'm heading into the city with all my girlfriends tomorrow and we are going to hit up sprinkles cupcakes!!! =)
So pretty!! Also - love that AJ's necklace matches yours!! Presh! :)
I've never visited Chicago but for some reason lately I keep hearing about it! Maybe I'll make a trip out next year :)

I'm SO glad she took you to Chicago Bagel Authority!
That is my absolute fav place (i always get "the ritz")
I'd love to visit Chicago. Those fries look so good! I want to try deep dish Pizza if I ever go. And yes, I'd definitely be freezing if I went this time of year...and living there in the snow...i don't know. Some friends just moved there from San Diego a couple months ago-they are probably in shock right about now!
I've been through Chicago but I didn't stop and stay a while. I've always felt I should have! One of my dear friends lived just north of there... I'm with you. After hearing stories of frozen boogers and such, I've decided it's too cold a place for me. Ha!
My hometown! I absolutely love and miss Chicago, and if it weren't for the snow I'd be living downtown again in a heartbeat.
thats my home! wicker park is epicccccccc. i live in roscoe villiage which is just north :)
I went to Portillo's with a local on one of my last trips to Chicago also - it was so tasty but man my tummy hurt afterward!!
I have lived in Chicago for a couple of months now and I simply looooove it! :) Thanks for a great blog!
xx
